Dryer Repair in Temecula & Murrieta

Gas and electric dryer repair, including ventless and heat pump models.

Dryer Repair Services We Provide

A dryer that won't heat or takes multiple cycles to dry a load wastes time and energy. We repair both gas and electric dryers, diagnosing the root cause and fixing it with quality parts backed by our warranty.

Dryer problems can also be a fire safety concern. Clogged vents and faulty heating elements are leading causes of house fires. We check for these hazards as part of every dryer service call.

Common Dryer Problems We Fix

Not Heating

A dryer that tumbles but produces no heat usually has a blown thermal fuse, bad heating element, or a tripped circuit breaker (electric) or faulty gas valve (gas).

Drum Not Spinning

When the motor runs but the drum is stationary, the drive belt has likely snapped. A worn drum roller or seized idler pulley can also cause this.

Takes Too Long to Dry

Extended dry times are the top sign of a clogged dryer vent. It can also indicate worn drum seals that allow hot air to escape the drum.

Squealing or Grinding Noises

High-pitched squealing usually means worn drum support rollers or a fraying belt. Grinding sounds point to a failing drum bearing or motor.

Stops Mid-Cycle

A dryer that shuts off before the cycle finishes is likely overheating due to restricted airflow or has a failing motor that trips on thermal overload.

Overheating

Clothes coming out extremely hot or a burning smell indicates a blocked vent, failed cycling thermostat, or a malfunctioning heating element.

Dryer Repair FAQs

The most common causes are a blown thermal fuse, a bad heating element (electric), or a faulty igniter or gas valve (gas). On electric dryers, also check that both legs of the 240V circuit are active, as a tripped breaker on one leg allows the motor to run without heat.

A clogged dryer vent is the number one cause of long dry times. Lint buildup restricts airflow, trapping moisture inside the drum. Worn drum seals and a failing blower wheel can also reduce drying efficiency. Have the vent cleaned at least once a year.

Clean your dryer vent at least once a year. If you do heavy laundry loads or have a long vent run, twice a year is better. Clogged dryer vents are a leading cause of house fires. Signs of a clogged vent include longer dry times, a hot dryer exterior, and a musty smell on clothes.

Yes, we service both gas and electric dryers. Gas dryers require additional safety checks on the gas valve, igniter, and flame sensor. Our technicians are trained and equipped to handle both types safely.
