A washer that won't spin or drain means laundry piles up fast. We repair all washer types, including top-load, front-load, and high-efficiency models, and carry common parts on the truck for same-day fixes.

Whether your washer is shaking violently, leaking on the floor, or refusing to start, our technicians can pinpoint the problem and get your laundry routine back on track.

Common Washer Problems We Fix

Won't Spin

A washer that fills but won't spin typically has a faulty lid switch, worn drive belt, or broken motor coupler.

Won't Drain

Water sitting in the drum after a cycle points to a clogged drain pump filter, kinked hose, or failed pump motor.

Excessive Vibration

Violent shaking during the spin cycle is often caused by worn shock absorbers, broken suspension springs, or an unlevel machine.

Leaking Water

Leaks can come from a worn door boot seal (front-load), loose hose connections, or a cracked tub. Location of the leak narrows the cause.

Won't Fill with Water

No water entering the drum usually means a faulty water inlet valve, kinked supply hose, or a clogged inlet screen.

Clothes Still Wet After Cycle

If clothes come out soaking wet, the spin cycle may not be reaching full speed due to a worn clutch, failing motor, or unbalanced load sensor.

Washer Repair FAQs

The most common causes are a faulty lid switch (top-load), a worn drive belt, or a broken motor coupler. On front-load washers, the door lock assembly may be failing. A technician can test these components and replace the faulty part.

Excessive shaking is usually caused by worn shock absorbers or suspension springs, an unbalanced load, or a machine that is not level. Check that all four feet are firmly on the floor and adjust the leveling legs if needed. If the problem continues, the internal dampeners likely need replacement.

The average washing machine lasts 10 to 14 years. Front-load models tend to have more maintenance needs (door seal cleaning) but similar overall lifespans. Using the correct amount of HE detergent and not overloading the drum helps extend the life of any washer.

Mold and mildew buildup in the door seal and detergent dispenser is the usual cause, especially on front-load washers. Run a cleaning cycle with washer cleaner or bleach monthly, and leave the door open between loads to let the drum dry out.
